Groundbreaking @ SHS

Welcome Mrs. Davis!

All of us at Jackson would like to welcome Mrs. Davis as the new Speech and Language Pathologist! Mrs. Davis has been a Speech and Language Pathologist for 12 years and has worked at the Kings County Office of Education for the last 5 years. We look forward to working with and seeing all the success Mrs. Davis will have as she works with our students!

Century Club is ON!

Encourage students to run a few laps during their lunch period to be a part of Century Club! For every 100 laps ran, students earn a reward like a Husky T-shirt or trophy! Not only is running great aerobic excercise, but it helps the brain learn! Letś all join Century Club before its over in April!

Sixth Grade Camp

Jackson's sixth graders enjoyed a week in Northern California for their annual camp trip! Check out the photos courtesy of Mrs. Wilkin. Thank you to all the teachers and parents that made this possible for our students. They had a wonderful time learning outdoors and having fun with their friends!

Parent Club 2018-2019

Jackson Elementary wants to give a special THANK YOU to Mrs. Rena Martinez, who served as the Parent Club President for 7 years! Mrs. Martinez is appreciated for all her time and effort to make Jackson a fun and safe place to learn! We are happy to say Mrs. Martinez still works in the front office as the head Secretary. Also, thank you to Mr. & Mrs. Sanchez for volunteering their time as the new Jackson Club President and Vice President for the 2018-2019 school year.

Selma Opportunity Grants

Congratulations to the teachers that were awarded funding for their classroom projects for this year's 2018 Fall Selma Opportunity Grants! The Kindergarten teachers at Jackson requested flexible seating and materials for their classroom workstations. Mrs. Cline was also awarded the Selma Foundation Innovative Grant to fund a poetry night for her students and their parents.
